If you're a current 4th or 5th grader (upcoming 5th/6th) who loves digital media, this is your time to shine.

🎬 What You’ll Do
Record and edit professional videos

Interview players and coaches at sporting events

Write scripts and produce weekly episodes

Learn to handle cameras like a pro

📝 How to Apply (Step 1)
Submit a 30-second to 1-minute video by May 8th to blazenews@clintonschools.org.

Choose one of these options:

-The Intro: Tell us who you are and why you’re a great fit.
-The Pitch: Show us a segment you’d love to see on Blaze Broadcasting.
-Include your name, grade level, and school in your submission!

If your video is selected, you’ll be invited for an in-person interview at SCES on May 12 (3:15–4:15 PM). You’ll get to meet the team—Mrs. Neal, Mrs. Metcalf, Ms. Tippit, and our current 6th-grade crew—and try out the gear!

No experience? No problem! We are looking for students who are dependable, respectful, and eager to learn.

TCAP testing begins this week for 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades! Make sure your child gets plenty of rest, eats a good breakfast, and gets to school on time. 🏃‍♀️🔥 Blaze Track 2026 Is Open for Registration! 🔥🏃‍♂️

Blaze Track is back for 2026, and we’re ready to get our young athletes moving! This program is open to students in grades 2–6 and offers a fun, supportive environment to learn and grow through track and field.

📍 Practice Location: Track behind Clinton Elementary School
📅 Practice Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays
⏰ Time: 3:00–4:15 p.m. (starting Thursday, April 2)
💲 Cost: $60 per student (Sibling discount: 2 for $100)
👟 Spots are limited! Only the first 50 registrants will be accepted.
🏅 Events Include:

Running events
Jumps & hurdles
Shot put & discus
Students are encouraged to try all events and later focus on their favorites!

🚰 Important Info:

Bring a water bottle (no water or restrooms available at the track)
Parents are responsible for transportation to and from practices and meets
Scholarships are available—please contact Mrs. Kerley or Ms. King as soon as possible if needed
