North Clinton Elementary School is the smallest of the three Clinton City Schools. On average, North Clinton serves around 160 children. For the 2010-2011 school year, North Clinton has 2 kindergarten classes, 1 first grade, 1 second grade, 1 third grade, 1 fourth grade, 1 fifth grade, 1 6th grade, and 2 multi-age classrooms. North Clinton students participate in a wide variety of activities including Accelerated Reader, Study Island, Reading Across Grade Levels, 4-H, weekly computer classes, Junior Achievement, as well as many other activities and programs.
This will be an exciting year. NCES has installed new state of the art internet access and the building is now completely wireless. In addition, each classroom now has an interactive Smart Board. Our 6th grade students will receive their laptop computers around Labor Day. If your child is a resident of the city of Clinton and has attended Clinton City Schools in 4th, 5th, and 6th grades, your child gets to keep their laptop upon 6th grade graduation.
North Clinton is a great place to be. During daily morning assemblies, students are recognized for birthdays, honor roll, good behavior, Accelerated Reader awards, and many other special activities and honors. North Clinton has a family atmosphere. Staff members get to know all of the children in our school on a first name basis. Parent volunteers are encouraged and appreciated. We also encourage you to participate in our school PTO. Last year, our PTO helped sponsor dances, popcorn and a movie, pictures with Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny, purchased a new Laminator, and many other activities for our children. We would love to have you join us in support of our school.
Thank you for the opportunity to teach your child. We look forward to helping your child reach his/her fullest potential.
