Oak Ridge Associated Universities awarded fourteen Clinton City School teachers over $14,000 in grant money at the 16th annual ORAU Education Grants ceremony. SCES teachers were presented with hands-on climate and weather kits, robotics kits with iPads, a Logitech webcam that can help teachers incorporate physical activity into a special education curriculum; and a high definition camcorder to create a reading video camera space in the library.

At NCES students will be participating in interactive lessons that involve technology and movement, new sets of Super Simple Science books and four iPads, pre-kindergarten students are receiving a Kaplan STEM Activity Set Classroom Bundle and a hands-on magnet set to improve developmental STEM skills.

Clinton Elementary teachers received four Osmo Explorer Kits for kindergarteners, more than 45 STEM literacy books; and four Lego Mindstorms Programmable Robots with iPads for sixth graders.

Since beginning the program in 2002, ORAU had provided over $487,000 to area schools for projects that complement its mission of enriching science, technology, engineering, and mathematics programs.

THANK YOU ORAU!
